You Are Very Blessed
By Apostle Felix
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.Numbers 6: 24 – 27
Aaron and his sons were the first priests in Israel, after their emancipation from Egypt. Besides the temple services, Aaron and his sons were to bless the nation of Israel by speaking. It was part of their assignment to speak the blessing upon the nation. For Aaron and his sons to bless Israel, they had to be blessed themselves. This is because, you cannot give that which you do not have. A priest was an ordained person as a mediator between God and man. In the context of the Old Testament priesthood, they had to offer sacrifices on behalf of the nation of Israel. They first had to offer sacrifices for themselves before they did it on behalf of the nation. This was because the Levitical priesthood was sinful and needed an animal sacrifice for the remission of their sins. Now, if men who needed an animal sacrifice for the cleansing of their sins could pronounce the blessing over others, how much more the sinless Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
27 Unlike the former high priests, he is not compelled to offer daily sacrifices. They had to bring a sacrifice first for their own sins, then for the sins of the people, but he finished the sacrificial system, once and for all, when he offered himself.
28 The law appointed flawed men as high priests, but God’s promise, sealed with his oath, which succeeded the law, appoints a perfect Son who is complete forever!Hebrews 7: 27, 28
If Aaron had pronounced a blessing over Israel and a witch could not curse the nation, how can those blessed of the Lord Jesus be cursed or be bewitched by witches. It is not possible. Balaam, a sorcerer tried to curse Israel on behalf of Balak, but he could not because Israel was blessed. A nation, whose high priest was a sinful man could not be cursed, how can you, who is under the perfect High Priest be cursed. You are eternally blessed. Aaron was pronouncing the blessing on Israel year after year, but Jesus pronounced the blessing upon you once and for all. This is because He died only once and for all.
11 If any of the Levitical priests who served under the law had the power to bring us into perfection, then why did God send Christ as Priest after the likeness of Melchizedek? He should have said, “After the likeness of Aaron.”
Hebrews 7: 11
Jesus came in the order of Melchisedek, and not according to the Levitical order. Melchisedek lived in the grace era of Abraham, not in the law era of Moses. This is the same man that met Abraham from the defeat of kings, and he blessed Abraham.
6 But Melchizedek was not Abraham’s Jewish relative, and yet Abraham still paid him a tithe.— Melchizedek imparted a blessing on mighty Abraham, who had received the promises of God.
7 And no one could deny the fact that the one who has the power to impart a blessing is superior to the one who receives it.Hebrews 7: 6, 7
Abraham gave tithe willingly, not under compulsion. He did not give because he was afraid of the curse. Neither did he give because he wanted to be rich. He gave because he was grateful for the Lord’s protection upon his life and his men who had gone into the battle and defeated powerful kings. He did not pay tithe, but he gave it. It was not an obligation, but it was a product of generosity. Grace and blessing produces generosity, while the law produces religious duty.
6 Here’s my point. A stingy sower will reap a meager harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest.
7 Let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving—all because God loves hilarious generosity!2 Corinthians 9: 6, 7
Blessed people give out of generosity, and not out of fear. The law was fear based, while grace is love based. Perfect love casts away fear. Fear is not of God, for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but love, power and of the sound mind, 2 Timothy 1: 7. The blessing of God operates in the realm of love. The law is not of love and it short cuts the blessing. You are not under the law, but grace, therefore, you are blessed beyond any shadow of doubt. Stay blessed!
