You Are Beyond Condemnation

You Are Beyond Condemnation

By Apostle Felix

1  So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One.
2  For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death.

Romans 8: 1, 2

One of the deadly weapons in satan’s arsenal is condemnation. It is the most used weapon against believers in Christ, especially. Condemnation is used to make believers ineffective in their walk with Christ. What is condemnation? Condemnation means a judicial sentence of guilt and punishment, declaring someone worthy of divine wrath and eternal separation from God due to sin. It is an expression of strong disapproval; pronouncing as wrong or morally culpable. Condemnation rests strongly on the law. There cannot be condemnation when there is no law. The judicial courts use the law to condemn someone. It does not matter how the judge is emotionally connected to the offender, the law will be respected and prevail over the judge’s feelings. Under the law of Moses, parents surrendered their children to be stoned when they broke the law. It did not matter who the law breaker was. Aaron, the high priest lost his sons on one day when they offered strange fire which was against the law.

1  And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
2  And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

Leviticus 10: 1, 2

Condemnation is a consequence of breaking the law. And the law is the strength of sin. Therefore, the law holds the two together, condemnation and sin. Where we find condemnation, we will find sin thriving.

56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15: 56, 57

Condemnation is not the fruit of the Spirit. Unfortunately, preachers pride in making their congregants come under condemnation, and begin to do certain things, such as giving and tithing out of fear. The congregants have not responded to the preacher’s sermon because they saw the goodness of God. They responded because they were afraid of God’s wrath. We do not respond to God’s word because we are afraid of God’s wrath, but we respond because of God’s goodness. Our joy of responding to His word is because we have been set free from sin and death.

3  For God achieved what the law was unable to accomplish, because the law was limited by the weakness of human nature. Yet God sent us his Son in human form to identify with human weakness. Clothed with humanity, God’s Son gave his body to be the sin-offering so that God could once and for all condemn the guilt and power of sin.
4  So now every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled through the Anointed One living his life in us. And we are free to live, not according to our flesh, but by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit!

Romans 8: 3, 4

Jesus was born under the law, and was condemned as a law breaker though He never broke any of the laws. He came to be a sin offering so that God could once and for all condemn the guilt and power of sin. Therefore, in Christ we have be set free from sin, because every righteous requirement was fulfilled through Christ’s condemnation on the cross. So then, there is no accusing finger pointing at you to condemn you. Live in that reality and be conscious of what the Lord has done for you. We overcome a sinful lifestyle by submitting to God’s wonderful grace. Rest in God this coming year.

14  Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.
