The Promised Seed Part 3

THE PROMISED SEED Part 3

By Apostle Felix

40  Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.

41  Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

42  Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

43  So there was a division among the people because of him.

John 7: 40 – 43

Jesus Christ is the theme of the Bible. We cannot talk about the word of God without talking about Jesus Christ. He has been the central focus of the scripture from the beginning. The scripture becomes a letter that kills when Christ is removed, and replaced with something else. Apostle Paul called it, ‘Another gospel.’

6  I am shocked over how quickly you have strayed away from the Anointed One who called you to himself by his loving mercy. I’m frankly astounded that you now embrace a distorted gospel!

7  That is a fake “gospel” that is simply not true. There is only one gospel—the gospel of the Messiah! Yet you have allowed those who mingle law with grace to confuse you with lies.

Galatians 1: 6, 7

Another gospel or fake gospel, Paul warned the church about is a message preached and taught that attempts to veil the Christ. The enemy works tirelessly at giving the church messages that conceal the Christ. When Christ is concealed then the church will become religious and void of God’s power. Apostle Paul addressed this problem in Galatians chapter three.

1  What has happened to you Galatians to be acting so foolishly? You must have been under some evil spell! Didn’t God open your eyes to see the meaning of Jesus’ crucifixion? Wasn’t he revealed to you as the crucified one?

Galatians 3: 1

The enemy’s aim is to blindfold the church from seeing the Christ. The purpose of deception is for blindfolding. The devil uses deception to blindfold the flock of God. How has the devil managed to deceive so many people in the church? He has managed to deceive so many by using the familiar, the letter. He has managed to conceal Christ in the scriptures from the people.

25  Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26  Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luke 24: 25 – 27

Memorizing scriptures and having the revelation of Christ are to different things. The Pharisees had memorized the Torah and the prophets but yet did not know Christ. They rejected Him and crucified Him. Just quoting bible verses, is not enough. The devil can quote bible verses too, but yet e void of the revelation of Christ. Christ is our proof against deception. Look for Christ in every message you are listening to. If Christ is not there, throw it away. It does not matter who is preaching or teaching it. If Christ is not the central theme of the message, then it is another gospel. The gospel has to be Christ-centred, because He is the theme of the Bible. He is the promised Seed of the Bible. One cannot talk about the Bible without Christ been the subject. Remember, God retired Moses and Elijah on the mount of transfiguration, and established Jesus, as the voice to listen to. We have so many voices around us which are claiming to be the voices of God. How can we know the voice of God? The voice of God is the revelation of Christ.
