The Power of Imagination

The Power of Imagination

By Apostle Felix

20  Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

Ephesians 3: 20

Imagination plays a significant role in trusting God for the impossible. Imagination is the ability to form new concepts and mental images of things that are not actually present in the physical. It has got to do with exercising the mind to think and allow the mind to conceive the thoughts of God. An architect builds a house in his mind before it is physical erected. Our minds play a role in asking and receiving from God. One cannot be asking for a car from God, while his mind is occupied with a bicycle.  Imagine a car and see a car. It is unfortunate that some belittle the power of imagination and do not pay attention to the images that have been created all the years. God wants us to have godly thoughts in order to live a godly live. Our lives cannot rise above our thought lives.

8  So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.
Philippians 4: 8

The above scripture is reminding us on the importance of God’s word focused thinking. Apostle Paul said, ‘To keep our thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real.’ The enemy is in the business of advertising things that are not necessarily authentic and real. His adverts are meant to instill fear and doubt of God’s authenticity. People that harm their lives in form of suicide or any bodily harm is due to false information the enemy feeds that later forms harmful imaginations. Watch out for the words that are bombarding your mind on the daily basis. Most of them are meant to harm your life. Therefore, fortify your mind with the word of God.

4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 10: 4, 5

Our weapons are not physical but spiritual. Words are spiritual weapons. When Jesus was tempted, He overcame the devil with words. In Luke chapter four, the Bible says, and Jesus ‘said’ always.’ Your victory over some of the issues of life is in the power of words. Remember, Jesus is the Word.

1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2  The same was in the beginning with God.
3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1: 1 – 3

Jesus is the Logos of God. He is the thought of the Living God and by the thought of God all things were created. God and Jesus are one. The two cannot be separated or be distinguished. Thoughts cannot be separated from you. You are what you think. Offenders are incarcerated mainly because of the state of their minds. The law considers what the person is capable of doing because of his state of mind. Thinking contributes largely to a possibility lifestyle. Embrace the mind of Christ and are all things shall be possible.
