The Gospel 2
By Apostle Felix
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luke 4: 18
The church has been built on the revelation of Christ. There is no other foundation other than Christ on which the church has been founded. Any other foundation is false. The strength of any building is determined by the foundation. Christ is the foundation of the church.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.1 Corinthians 3: 11 – 13
Christ is not a surname of Jesus, but it is a title which means, ‘The anointed One and His anointing.’ The church has been founded on the anointing and sustained by the anointing. The anointing is the yoke destroying and burden removing power of God. You cannot be part of the church and still in bondage. The church, which is the body of Christ is freedom. You cannot separate the church from freedom. It is an entity that embodies freedom.
22 Have you forgotten that Abraham had two sons; one by the slave girl, and the other by the free woman?
23 Ishmael, the son of the slave girl, was a child of the natural realm. But Isaac, the son of the free woman, was born supernaturally by the Spirit—a child of the promise of God!
24 These two women and their sons express an allegory and become symbols of two covenants. The first covenant was born on Mt. Sinai, birthing children into slavery—children born to Hagar.
25 For “Hagar” represents the law given at Mt. Sinai in Arabia. The “Hagar” metaphor corresponds to the earthly Jerusalem of today who are currently in bondage.
26 In contrast, there is a heavenly Jerusalem above us, which is our true “mother.” She is the free woman, birthing children into freedom!Galatians 4: 22 – 26
The church is the son of the free woman. The free woman is Sarah through whom, the promised seed came. The seed that was promised to Abraham and Sarah is Christ who later was born into the world for the salvation of mankind. Abraham had two sons, one born from a slave woman and one from a free woman. The slave woman birthed children into bondage. Hagar symbolizes the law that Moses received on mount Sinai. The law, which Moses received had no power to save and empower man to overcome sin. The only thing the law could do was to expose sin in man’s life and make it known as sin. The sin that was unmasked by the law produced spiritual death in man. And the law had no power at all to help man out. That was Hagar. The church cannot be built on Hagar’s offspring. Unfortunately, some churches are from mount Sinai, and their ministration is more focused on dead works.
13 So, did something meant to be good become death to me? Certainly not! It was not the law but sin unmasked that produced my spiritual death. The sacred commandment merely uncovered the evil of sin so it could be seen for what it is.
14 For we know that the law is divinely inspired and comes from the spiritual realm, but I am a human being made of flesh and trafficked as a slave under sin’s authority.Romans 7: 13, 14
The church, Jesus is building is built on Himself. He destroyed sin in His body. Sin had to be punished and Jesus became sin and died the death of an offender in order to free the offender – man. He destroyed what the law only unmasked.
