The Faith of God – 2

The Faith of God 2

By Apostle Felix

Gal 2:20  “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!
Gal 2:21  “So that is why I don’t view God’s grace as something minor or peripheral. For if keeping the law could release God’s righteousness to us, the Anointed One would have died for nothing.”

Galatians 2: 20, 21 TPT

The faith of God is not based on man’s efforts. Faith has been wrongly presented by emphasizing what man can do in order to provoke the grace of God.  We often hear testimonies that are based so much on what one did to have deserved the breakthrough. The more people are exposed to such kind of testimonies and teachings the more people are persuaded to believe in what they can do to provoke the grace of God. According to God, that is a perverted gospel, because that attitude undermines what Jesus did for us.

21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 2: 21 KJV

The faith of God satisfies and pleases grace. This is because grace provides, and faith receives what grace has already provided. What frustrates grace is when one is trying to receive from God through the works of the law. Under the old covenant, it was one’s works that determined one’s right standing with God. Righteousness was not a product of grace through faith, but the law through works. Under the new covenant, faith is as the result of Christ’s work, not man. It is not a product of man’s works, therefore no one can boast.

8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2: 8 – 10

The faith of God is the finished work of God. Having the faith of God is the absolute believe in the finished of Christ. This is the faith that does not want to help God, because God does not need anyone’s help. This is the faith that finds its rest in Christ, allowing the power of God working through one. This is not to promote laziness, but the promotion of reliance on God, while doing all we have been called to do.
