Sons of God Part 8

But the truth is, Christ is risen from the dead, as the firstfruit of a great resurrection harvest of those who have died.
1 Corinthians 15: 20

By Apostle Felix

The redemption of the firstborn was a prophetic act pointing to the substitutionary death of Christ. He took our place and died our death. He committed no sin but yet became sin, so that we can become the righteousness of God. All the firstborns of the Israelite were to be redeemed with an animal that was not lame. The animal had to be perfect physically. This was the reflection of the perfection of the Son of God, who became our substitutionary sacrifice. The act was a type and a shadow of the one to come – Christ Jesus. The redemption of the firstborns was fulfilled in Christ when He died and rose from the dead.

That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD’S. And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
Exodus 13: 12, 13

For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
Romans 11: 16

Christ. our first fruit has sanctified everyone that comes to Him. Either firstborn or last born have been sanctified and severed from all satanic influences, Your position in the family has no spiritual implication at all. Of course, culturally the firstborns fall victim of dedications to demonic deities. However, a life born into the kingdom of God through Christ Jesus is fully cut off from the diabolical world. You do not need to be redeemed by bringing a sacrifice to a person. Such a practice will undermine the work of redemption of Christ. He has made you holy, sanctified, set apart for God. You have been redeemed in Christ, who is our redeemer.

The redemption of the firstborn practice veils the Christ and His finished work in people’s lives. Where Christ is veiled, the works of darkness are unveiled. There is no other sacrifice that can beat the sacrifice of the Son of God. He died once and for all. Never to die again. His work is permanent, and what the work of Christ has done is permanent. The attempt of resurrecting the practice that was fulfilled in Christ, is crucifying the Lord again.

Christ suffered and died for sins once and for all—the innocent for the guilty—to bring you near to God by his body being put to death and by being raised to life by the Spirit.
1 Peter 3: 18

The death and the resurrection of Christ put an end to the redemption of the firstborns. He fulfilled it once and for all. It is complete and done perfectly. Christ is our firstborn and is holy. He set you free, completely free from satanic entanglements. To all the firstborns, you are free in Christ!
