Sons of God Part 7

But the truth is, Christ is risen from the dead, as the first fruit of a great resurrection harvest of those who have died.
1 Corinthians 15: 20

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Colossians 2: 17

Israel was a nation that carried the mysteries of God. He called Israel My firstborn among all the nations of the earth. God had called Israel to be a torchbearer to other nations. Scripturally, the firstborns are a blessing bearer. The firstborn has the birthright to the inheritance. When God called Israel as the firstborn, He also called the nation to an office of priesthood. The priesthood office is for the firstborn.

And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exodus 19: 6

The priesthood of Israel was predicated on its status in God as the firstborn. Israel’s calling to the office of priesthood was pointing to Jesus’ priesthood in the earth. The redemption of Israel from Egypt was so spectacular and supernatural because the salvation of man is supernatural. God ordered Pharaoh to let go His firstborn, because Israel was set apart for God for the purpose communicating Christ in the shadows. Israel was a set apart nation for God.

God killed the firstborns of the Egyptians because they had their firstborns dedicated to their gods. The dedication of the firstborns was a diabolical practice done in Egypt. It was a perversion of God’s redemptive plan. The devil and his cohorts only pervert the ways of God. The killing of their firstborns was God’s judgement upon the diabolical system of the satanic world.

Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.
Exodus 13: 2

Israel lived in Egypt for 430 years before they were delivered. That’s long enough for them to have adopted the Egyptian culture. They were Israelite by birth, but Egyptian by culture. They had dedicated their firstborns to the Egyptians gods, just like their taskmasters. Since Israel was chosen by God, as a nation He was using as a type of Christ, God asked for their first sons to be sanctified, that is to be set apart. This was speaking of Jesus, who was yet to be born as the first for the purpose of setting man apart for God. The apostle Paul came and revealed this truth in Romans 11: 16, when he said,

For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

The firstborn has the power to sanctify the rest of the body. The scriptures quoted above were actually talking about the Lord Jesus who is our first fruit and firstborn for the sanctification of those who accept His finished work. Only the firstborns were redeemed and sanctified in Israel as a concealed message that was later revealed in the Son of God, the firstborn of every creature.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
