Jesus Only

Jesus Only

By Apostle Felix Mulamata

6  I am shocked over how quickly you have strayed away from the Anointed One who called you to himself by his loving mercy. I’m frankly astounded that you now embrace a distorted gospel! 7  That is a fake “gospel” that is simply not true. There is only one gospel—the gospel of the Messiah! Yet you have allowed those who mingle law with grace to confuse you with lies.

8  Anyone who comes to you with a different message than the grace gospel that you have received will have the curse of God come upon them! For even if we or an angel appeared before you, to give you a different gospel than what we have already proclaimed, God’s curse will be upon them. 9  I will make it clear: Anyone, no matter who they are, that brings you a different gospel than the grace gospel that you have received, let them be condemned and cursed! Galatians 1: 6 – 9

The gospel of the cross has distinguished Jesus from all others. There are many by the name of Jesus, but they are not equal in substance with Christ. Jesus Christ is God, who became man for the purpose of redeeming man from sin. Jesus is the I AM who created all creation, including mankind. God, the Word decided to become and dwell amongst us. His name is Emmanuel, which means God with man. This is the One, apostle John testified about in John chapter one, as the Word becoming flesh. This is the greatest miracle of God manifesting as man.

The gospel has a bias, and the bias is Christ and Him crucified. The gospel will be robbed of its power when Christ is mixed with our tradition nuances. The gospel is focused on Christ and His finished work. Any attempt to add anything to that nullifies the power of His resurrection. The temptation in the body of Christ is to focus on what Jesus defeated and expired on the cross and when He rose from the dead. The power of the gospel lies in Christ and His finished. Jesus is enough. He doesn’t need any assistance from Moses or Elijah. Check the cross. He was alone on the cross. Check the tomb. He was alone in the tomb. Check the resurrection. He rose from the dead alone. There was no physical or religious assistance. He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.

10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Philippians 3: 10

Jesus is the One that defines Christianity. And it has to be Jesus only. Anything that we add to Jesus transforms into another Jesus – a demonic entity. Stay with Jesus. He is enough. He is the One that died, was buried and rose from the dead for you. His name is enough. There is enough power to handle anything in your life. After His resurrection, Jesus ordered His disciples to wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit, the other comforter. He never asked us to add anything else besides the Holy Spirit, who came to glorify and reveal in Christ and to us. There no revelation that is greater than the revelation of Christ and the power of His resurrection.
