Faith For Vision Realization

Faith For Vision Realization

By Apostle Felix

11  Then Jesus added, “Lazarus, our friend, has just fallen asleep. It’s time that I go and awaken him.”
12  When they heard this, the disciples replied, “Lord, if he has just fallen asleep, then he’ll get better.”
13  Jesus was speaking about Lazarus’ death, but the disciples presumed he was talking about natural sleep.
14  Then Jesus made it plain to them, “Lazarus is dead.

John 11: 11 – 14

Faith is a demonstration of trust in His finished work. The New Testament faith is different from the Old Testament faith. The Old Testament faith had to do with the hope the saints of old had in the coming Messiah. But the faith of the New Testament is in the Christ who came, died, was buried and rose from the dead. This faith is in the past tense, and not in the future tense. It is predicated on what the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished for us. The believers’ faith speaks in the past tense.

Jesus had received the news about Lazarus’ sickness but yet decided to stay on two more days. Lazarus’ two sisters, Martha and Mary were very hopeful that when Jesus comes will prevent their brother from dying. But Jesus delayed. The vision of their brother’s restoration of health was shattered with Jesus’ delay. They were looking forward to His coming and raise their brother from his sick bed. They lost all hope and started looking forward to the future hope.

However, Jesus’ faith was not in the future hope but in the power of God that was able to bring the lost vision back to life. His faith was to realize a vision. The two sisters and the crowd had closed the chapter of ever going to see Lazarus in the physical again. They could not even imagine the possibility of Lazarus ever coming back to life. Sometimes, vision can be like that. Every vision from God looks impossible. It’s like Lazarus in the tomb. But remember, when Jesus heard about Lazarus’ sickness, He said the sickness was not unto death. He immediately declared the end from the beginning.

3  So his sisters sent a message to Jesus, “Lord, our brother Lazarus, the one you love, is very sick. Please come!”
4  When he heard this, he said, “This sickness will not end in death for Lazarus, but will bring glory and praise to God. This will reveal the greatness of the Son of God by what takes place.”

John 11: 3 – 4

Jesus put Lazarus’ condition in the past. He declared Lazarus’ condition before he died. God only communicates to us regarding our visions, which He has already finished and perfected from eternity perspective. With God, the vision He has communicated to you in time, had already been concluded in eternity. You may receive the words and write them down, but in God’s reality, it is already done. You might be looking at a vision on paper but with God it is realized. Therefore, in order to see it in the physical realm, you need to sync your thoughts and the words of the mouth with the past tenses of God. Do not plead with God to work on the vision and this is because your vision is a reality in God. Begin to speak, think and act as though it is already there. Avoid speaking in future tense and train your mind to think in past tense and to speak in past tense. Vision realization takes the understanding of the language of God.
