Envision

Envision

By Apostle Felix

20  Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

Ephesians 3: 20

We are living in a world that is full of imagery. If you are not creating images for yourself, someone else is. Every day of our lives, we are surrounded by literature, pictures, and news whose intention is to create your narrative. We are experiencing redundancy in creative thinking especially with the Gen Z. It is very unfortunate that someone else is creating identity for the now generation. It has become a challenge for a young man to individually to exploit his masculinity. There are so many voices, pictures and opinions about how a man should be. The freedom of expression is not freedom at all. It is a freedom that managed by the social media. It is no wonder that a generation has difficult to recognize and differentiate masculinity from femininity.

It is with urgency that a generation envision again. What is envision? Envision means to imagine or picture. The word envision comes from the Latin en, which means “cause to be,” and visionem, meaning “a thing seen.” Therefore, envision may mean to cause to be a thing imagined. It is the ability to imagine and to cause to be. Every great building structure was once imagined and then caused to be. Man does not think in letters, but he thinks in pictures, or images. When you hear of someone mention a Toyota car. Immediately, you begin to search in your mind for a Toyota car you know. You are not thinking in terms of a word itself, ‘Toyota.’ But you create an imagine of a car. Words form images in our minds and it is those images that we tend to cause to be.

Gen 15:4  And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
Gen 15:5  And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
Gen 15:6  And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Genesis 15: 4 – 6

Abraham was having trouble believing God for what had been promised to him, concerning a son. He considered the circumstances around and then he concluded the promise of a son to be a far fetched idea. He decided to leave his inheritance of the blessing with his servant, Eliezer. At this point, God intervened and He had to create an image of possibility by showing Abraham the stars. The Lord spoke to Abraham but He also showed him an image that was equivalent to His promise. Then Abraham believed God. However, you and me do not need to see stars to believe God but all we need is the word of God. This is because the word is the express image of the Father.

3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Hebrews 1: 3

The word of God is enough to create a possibility image in you. God is no longer using external things to convince us of the authenticity of His promises. His promises are yes and amen in Christ. The word is potent enough to form Christ in us.

19  You are my dear children, but I agonize in spiritual “labor pains” once again, until the Anointed One will be fully formed in your hearts!

Galatians 4: 19

The apostle labored in teaching the revelation of Christ to the church at Galatia until Christ was formed in them. The formation had to do with the imagine of Christ which is the exact expression of God’s true nature. In order to transform one’s life, we need to change what we are envisioning. In this season, you cannot maintain the sight of dead works and expect to to see the glory of God. You cannot be using beads, bracelet and other emulets and expect the fullness of Christ in your. Discard those useless emulets and embrace the word of God.
