Proverbs 27: 12
A wise, shrewd person discerns the danger ahead and prepares himself, but the naïve simpleton never
looks ahead and suffers the consequences.
We are about to end the year, 2024 in about four weeks. It is so vitally important to remind ourselves to remain steadfast in serving God.
As we break off from work and the things we normally do daily, do not break off from the Lord. You can break off from church activities, such as preaching, worship leading, ushering, live streaming, Sunday school etc. But do not break off from the communion with the Lord.
As you go on holiday, purpose in your heart to stay steadfast in your communion with the Lord. Do not holiday away from the Lord, holiday in God. Any attempt to try to break off from the communion with the Lord, is a decision made to commune with the devils.
The festive season is a season to cement our relationship with the Lord. We may not be with our brothers and sisters in the Lord, but the Lord is always with us. Therefore, we have to be conscious of His ever-abiding presence even when we are on holiday.
The festive season comes with its on temptations of trying to do something new. It’s good to be adventurous, however within the perimeters of God’s divine Word.
Holiday with the Word of God in your heart. Meditate on it, study it, confess it and act on it. The festive season is a season of indulgence.
As you enjoy time together with your family, friends, colleagues, avoid any indulgence that may cause feelings of condemnation in your life.
Spend wisely. Do not be carried by the wind of the season. Remember, there are school fees, rental, mortgage to paid in January 2025. Work within your budget and do not stretch. Be smart!
Do not compete. You are not an athlete, but a visionary. Visionaries focus on what they want to accomplish. Instead of only spending, spend some time to plan.
