Father’s Love

The Father’s Love
By Apostle Felix
15 And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
16 For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”
17 And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings as our own.
Romans 8: 15 – 17
A father is a person endowed with love for his family. He is called father because he is identified as a source and sustainer. Fatherhood is not only the ability to produce an offspring but also the ability to love an offspring. The love aspect of fatherhood is what distinguishes fathers from men with children. Any man can have children, but only those who are willing to provide love are fathers. God is a father. Not only did we come from Him, but He also provides love for us. He loves His children unconditionally. His love can be seen in the way He gave His only begotten Son. He gave His Son so that He might have many sons in turn. He gave His Son as a prototype. A prototype is a sample of a product built to test a concept, idea, or process before full-scale production.
10 For now he towers above all creation, for all things exist through him and for him. And that God made him, pioneer of our salvation, perfect through his sufferings, for this is how he brings many sons and daughters to share in his glory.
11 Jesus, the Holy One, makes us holy. And as sons and daughters, we now belong to his same Father, so he is not ashamed or embarrassed to introduce us as his brothers and sisters!
12 For he has said, “I will reveal who you really are to my brothers and sisters, and I will glorify you with praises in the midst of the congregation.”Hebrews 2: 10 – 12
Jesus became our prototype, so that we can all be fashioned in the same likeness, as children of God. He is the pioneer of our salvation, and through His death and resurrection we have become His brothers and sisters. The Father loves us just like He loves His Son. His love towards us is no different from the love He has for His Son, Jesus Christ. He loves His Son; so does He love us, too.
20 “Because the Father loves his Son so much, he always reveals to me everything that he is about to do. And you will all be amazed when he shows me even greater works than what you’ve seen so far!
John 5: 20
Jesus revealed the Father’s love for His Son when He spoke to the people about the miracles He performed. He wanted the people to understand that the power behind the miracles He performed was the Father’s love. Jesus prayed to the Father and did not doubt God at all, because He knew that His Father loved.
26 And I will not need to ask the Father on your behalf, for you’ll ask him directly because of your new relationship with me.
27 For the Father tenderly loves you, because you love me and believe that I’ve come from God.John 16: 26, 27
Jesus affirmed the Father’s love for His disciples. So then, God the Father loves you because you are His child in Christ. Before His death, Jesus was the only begotten Son, but after His death and resurrection He became the firstborn among many brethren, and He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Now listen: the way the Father answered Jesus while He was on earth, that’s how the FATHER answers your prayers. Jesus prayed in this manner: Father, I thank you because you always hear me. He prayed this prayer when He was standing before Lazarus’ tomb, the most dreading situation one can find himself in. It was an impossible situation, humanly speaking. But Jesus knew who His Father was. He turned to His Father and thanked Him for supplying everything that He had needed. He is your source, too. Just like He did not fail Jesus, He will not fail you, too. Just look at Jesus’ life, and then you will understand the Father’s love. He took care of Jesus while He was here on earth. Never doubt the Father’s love. He loves you.
