Possibility Mindset

The Possibility Mindset

By Apostle Felix

7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Philippians 4: 7 – 9

The mind plays a role in the well-being of an individual. No one can rise above the state of one’s mind. It is the state of the mind that create limitations or possibilities. The mind can be man’s prison or palace. Defeat is first in the mind before it manifests in the physical. Every champion always wins in the mind before he enters the match. A negative mindset is worse than physical weakness. The great people we know today are not all physically strong. Most of them are mentally strong. The world is controlled by the mentally strong individuals. Even them that are physically strong are ruled over by those who are mentally strong. It is good to be physically strong, but mental strength surpasses it.

The apostle Paul was exhorting the church at Philippi to pray and continue trusting God. He encouraged them to stay joyful in all seasons of life. Paul was aware of the challenges people were going through but yet he encouraged them to remain positive in all circumstances. How can one stay positive when the circumstances of life are pressing hard. The only way one can avoid implosion is to build the inner man in the word of God.

16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Ephesians 3: 16, 17

An implosion is when something collapses violently inwards. Troublesome circumstances were designed to cause one to collapse violently inward. When we hear of someone who had a nervous break down, is someone who could not sustain the weight of troubles anymore. The pressure from outside became more than the pressure inside. Therefore, to avoid such a thing from happening, one should commit to building up the inner man in the word of God. It is allowing the mind to stay on the word of God that strengthens the inner man. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

2  We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
Hebrews 12: 2

A possibility mind is one that is stayed on the word of God. It is resolute, and refuses to give in to what the circumstances are suggesting. Every circumstance has its own language. Its speaks. Jesus answered a tree because it spoke to him when He demanded some fruit from it. The response was not favourable at all. Jesus had to respond vehemently because of His inner strength. He refused to succumb to the fig tree’s suggestion. Learn to respond vehemently to what the circumstances are suggesting to you. If it is sickness, respond with what the word of God says concerning your life. Is it lack? Do what Jesus did. Respond and declare God’s provision. Is it rejection? You are the beloved of God. You have been accepted of God. Let your mind be fortified with the word and allowing your mouth to be flooded with possibility speech. Jesus was never a careless thinker and talker. He was very intentional in His thinking and talking. Be like Him.

5  And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation.
