Believer’s Meal

Believer’s Meal
By Apostle Felix
35 Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.
John 6: 35
Jesus provided a meal to eat for the believers. The church is not a restaurant we go to and choose from the menu what we want to eat. The church is a family and the father knows what is the right diet for His children. Food is essential to human physical development. Poor dietary foods are foods that are highly processed, packaged with excessive sugar, unhealthy fats and high sodium content, while lacking essential nutrients. Normally, these type foods taste nice and look very appetizing. Just because it tastes nice, does not mean it is good for your health. Most of the diseases around are food related.
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
John 6: 32
The church of Jesus Christ is mainly about the meal provided. And Jesus Christ is that meal. He is the bread from heaven. A true church is not known by the miracles performed in the congregation, but by the meal served in the congregation. Miracles are good but is not the meal for believers. A church that is feeding believers on miracles will produce undernourished believers. And again, a true church can be identified by the message preached and taught to the congregation. God, the Father, only gave the church one message. Not many messages to choose from. He did not establish a restaurant, but a family with a prescribed meal.
22 For the Jews constantly demand to see miraculous signs, while those who are not Jews constantly cling to the world’s wisdom,
23 but we preach the crucified Messiah. The Jews stumble over him and the rest of the world sees him as foolishness.
24 But for those who have been chosen to follow him, both Jews and Greeks, he is God’s mighty power, God’s true wisdom, and our Messiah.1 Corinthians 1: 22 – 24
The message of the church is Christ and Him crucified. That is the meal of the church. Jesus had an encounter with the people that were following Him for the miracle of multiplying bread and fish. They were following Him for wrong reasons. They were not interested in Him as a person, but in the natural food He provided. They were interested in having their needs met. I believe that need based messages corrupt the church. Jesus’ main objective was not necessary to meet our physical needs but to give us Himself for the salvation of our souls.
33 The bread of God is the One who came out of heaven to give his life to feed the world.”
John 6: 33
The church is suffering from a theological deficiency. This is due to what the church is fed on. Unfortunately, the church is using the curriculum of this world, to grow the church. The church’s curriculum is Christ. All the wrong practices perpetuated in the church today are due to the same problem of theological deficiency. If believers are not taught right, they will fall for everything that looks like the gospel of Christ, when in reality it is junk. We are witnessing an awakening in the body of Christ when Christ is been reintroduced. Falsehood shall little by little be dispelled by the truth. It is time for the church to turn to the meal, the Father has provided for His people, who is Christ.
