Your Right With God
By Apostle Felix
17 Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new creation. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.
18 And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God.
19 In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and he has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God.
20 We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Turn back to God and be reconciled to him.”
21 For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we who did not know righteousness might become the righteousness of God through our union with him.2 Corinthians 5: 17 – 21
Right standing refers to being justified or rather declared righteous and blameless before God, the Father because of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Man was initially in right standing with God before the fall. The sin of Adam brought the separation between God and man. God created man to stand before Him righteous . The beginning of man started in grace and will end in grace. Man is a product of grace.
God did not create man on the first day of creation, but was created on the sixth day when God had completed with the rest of all creation. The work was done in absence of man and then God located an in the place of rest.
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.Genesis 2: 1 – 3
Upon man’s creation, God rested. Man was awoken to the rest of God, not work. God created the earth and its fullness for man, not for Himself. He created all for man to manage and take care of. However, the management of the earth was meant to be done from the position of rest in God. So, God rested on the seventh day and sanctified it, not necessarily for Himself. This is because God does not need rest, man does.
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.Mark 2: 27, 28
The seventh day on which God rested is not Saturday. It is Jesus. The Bible is a book about Jesus and the way of salvation. Even the account itself demonstrates the love of God for man, whom Christ had to come and die for . Creation illustrates the plan of God for mankind of resting in God. The Bible is the book of God illustrating the grace of God. God completed His work on the seventh day, blessed and sanctified it.
