The Role of The Apostolic In The Taking Over

The Role of The Apostolic In The Taking Over

By Apostle Felix

1  Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Galatians 1: 1

11  But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13  For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

Galatians 1: 11- 13

The term ‘apostle’ comes from the Greek word ‘Apostolos,’ which means ‘One who is sent off.’ An apostle has been sent by God to deliver a specific message. He does not come up with his own message. He is a steward of God’s message. He is also called a messenger of God. Jesus was an apostle in the sense that He was sent by God with a specific mission and message.

49  For I’m not speaking as someone who is self-appointed, but I speak by the authority of the Father himself who sent me, and who instructed me what to say.
50  And I know that the Father’s commands result in eternal life, and that’s why I speak the very words I’ve heard him speak.”

John 12: 49, 50

Jesus only spoke what He had received from the Father. He had no message of His own. Unfortunately, so many so-called apostles are preaching their own message. Jesus preached the heart of the Father. Every apostle of God was called to do the will of the Father.

1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

Colossians 1: 1

1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 1: 1

The apostolic is not just about a title, but more about content. It is the content that gives definition to the container. You can carry kerosene in a cooking oil container, but the kerosene will not turn into cooking oil. The people around may see a cooking oil container and assume the contents are cooking oil until the contents are tested. The apostolic is known by the content, not by a mere title. What then is the apostolic content?

23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1: 23, 24

2  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Timothy 4: 2

The apostle Paul said that they preached Christ crucified in season and out of season. Paul understood very well the message he was called to preach. He was not a man who preached according to what people wanted to hear. But he preached according to what the Spirit of God wanted the people to hear. He did not have many messages, but one message, whose emphasis was Christ.
