The Resurrection Power

The Resurrection Power

By Apostle Felix

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. [20] But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. [21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:19-21 KJV

The hope of Christianity is the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. His resurrection means life eternal to those that have believed in Him. Man was hopelessly lost because of sin but has been graciously saved by His resurrection. Jesus did the impossible to resurrect from the dead in order to save man from an impossible situation for man.

Understanding Salvation

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. Joel 2:32 KJV

The word deliverance has been misunderstood and abused by many in the church. It has been a word used to attract the masses to church. The word “deliverance” is an action of being rescued from a place of bandage into a place of freedom. Moses was sent to go and deliver Israel from Pharaoh’s bandage in Egypt and deliver them into the promised land. It was a movement from one location to another location. Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection connotes the deliverance of man from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God.

13 who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: [14] in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins Colossians 1:13-14 KJV

Jesus’ resurrection is the power of God to deliver man from Satan’s kingdom and delivered into God’s kingdom. It’s not necessarily casting out of demons. Demons can be expelled from an individual but the individual not yet delivered. The demons can be driven out from the person and yet the person is still in the kingdom of darkness. Christ cast out devils before He died and was raised from the dead. The casting out of devils wasn’t deliverance because Jesus had not yet died and was not yet raised from the dead. Before His death and resurrection, Jesus cast out devils from people who were in principle not yet born again, because He had not yet resurrected. But when He resurrected from the dead, He delivered people from Satan’s domain into God’s domain. A child of God is a delivered saint whose dwelling place is Zion.
