The Resurrected Ones
By Apostle Felix
Sharing in his death by our baptism means that we were co-buried and entombed with him, so that when the Father’s glory raised Christ from the dead, we were also raised with him. We have been co-resurrected with him so that we could be empowered to walk in the freshness of new life.
Romans 6: 4
A christian life is a supernatural life through the resurrection of Christ. It is a victor’s life. A born again person is someone who has passed from death to life, from curses to blessing, from disgrace to favour and from condemnation to justification. The resurrection of Christ made it possible for an individual to translate from the realm of death to the realm of life.
If you are a born again person, then you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. The resurrection has made the change of man’s location possible. From the grave to grace. A place of rest. Jesus took the blame on behalf of man. He was rejected and condemned for the sins He never committed, so that we can receive the justification we do not deserve.
This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins! Colossians 2: 13
The grave is a place of death, where there is no return. But Jesus Christ conquered death and rose from the dead. He returned in victory. Man was held hostage by satan using the instruments of sin and death. Man could not breakout from the hostage, until Christ broke man out.
Christ’s resurrection was a showdown of victory over death and sin. Jesus, the Son of God was born as man for the purpose of complying with the requirements that qualifies one to live on earth, and be subjected to death. He had to subject Himself to all the earthly conditions. And He was tempted in every way, yet without sin.
He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin.
Hebrews 4: 15
He was a man that was born under the law, and He was condemned by the standards of the law. He was killed as a law breaker, even though He did not break any law. All He did was to fulfill the requirements of the law, which is death. But when He rose from the dead, He was resurrected by the power of God.
Now the God who raised up our Lord from the grave will awaken and raise us up through his mighty power!
1 Corinthians 6: 14
The power of death is sin and the law is the power of sin. Jesus defeated all by His resurrection. As a born again person, you have been raised from the dead and death has no power over you. Jesus defeated sin in His body so that you and me can be free from the dominion of sin. By His resurrection, our lives have been freed from living under the law to living by the Spirit of God. You have been resurrected with Him, therefore your life is above the law, sin, and death.
55 So death, tell me, where is your victory? Tell me death, where is your sting? 56 It is sin that gives death its sting and the law that gives sin its power. 57 But we thank God for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. 58 So now, beloved ones, stand firm and secure. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures.
