The Power of The Church

The Power of The Church

By Apostle Felix

42  Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer.

Acts 2: 42

The beauty of the church is in its diversity and its that aspect of the church that makes it powerful and dynamic. People from all walks of life come together as one big family with one thing in common – Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ removes all social, gender, economical or marital statuses out of the way. We are all one in Christ. We all have one language, which is the Word of God.

28  And we no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ with no distinction between us.

Galatians 3: 28

Jesus is the unifying factor. The church is one of the places you can interact with people you thought you cannot interact with. It brings all peoples together. People of all races and languages come together to fellowship as one. Above all else, the church is a place where we come to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ. Besides the fellowship of believers, the church’s ultimate purpose is to reveal Christ to His people.

1Ti 3:15  But if I’m delayed in coming, you’ll already have these instructions on how to conduct the affairs of the church of the living God, his very household and the supporting pillar and firm foundation of the truth.

1 Timothy 3: 15

The church is the pillar and firm foundation of the truth. It has been founded upon Jesus, who is the embodiment of truth. He said that He is the Way, the Truth and the Way, John 14: 6. He is the truth personified. And the church has been built on Him. Jesus said that He is building the church upon the revelation Peter had received from God, the Father that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

18  I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this truth of who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church—my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it!

Matthew 16: 18

The church has been built upon the Person of Christ. This is why the church is called the Body of Christ, and Christ is the Head. You cannot be part of the church and be a weakling. It is a body of overcomers. The body that was once mutilated and buried in the tomb, was risen from the dead and is now seated in the heavenlies, at the right hand of God, the Father. You too, were risen together with Him and you are seated together with Him in the heavenly places.

6  He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!
