The New Creation Spirit

16  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5: 16 – 19

The new creation spirit is not a renovation, it is a recreation. A renovation is the process of improving broken, or outdated structure. New creation is not a renovation or an improvement. This is the reason why some continue with the process of trying to improve the state of the spirit, and the scripture quoted is Philippians 2: 12.

12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 

Apostle Paul was not suggesting that we work for our salvation. He meant that we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The salvation has already been worked in us by God in Christ and need to be worked out through manifesting the fruit of righteousness. Even the fruit of righteousness is the work of grace in man. It is not something we generate, but is deposited in us by God.

11  And you will be filled completely with the fruits of righteousness that are found in Jesus, the Anointed One—bringing great praise and glory to God!
Philippians 1: 11

It is the fruit of righteousness that we have to work out by allowing the Spirit to lead our lives. Every new creation spirit is born of God and has been imputed with righteousness.

22  And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

23  Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24  But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Romans 4: 22 – 24

New creation has been made righteous by the union of God’s Spirit with a  human spirit. It is not a renovation. God is not renovating a sinful spirit to be righteous. It is a total overhaul where the old is done away with and the new is established. God calls you new creature, and not  a new renovation. You are a new specie of being. You were once a sinner but now you are the righteousness of God.

8  Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light!
9  And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth.
