The Faith of God

20  In the morning, they passed by the fig tree that Jesus spoke to and it was completely withered from the roots up. 
21  Peter remembered and said to him, “Teacher, look! That’s the fig tree you cursed. It’s now all shriveled up and dead.” 
22  Jesus replied, “Let the faith of God be in you!

Faith is an important subject of the Bible. Important yet misunderstood. Faith has been the subject matter in the body of Christ. Faith has been synonymous with the names such as Kenneth Hagin, especially in the 60’s through 90’s. He was the man that preached faith in the radical way. The faith messages by Kenneth Hagin and Fredrick Price reshaped the 20th century church into a church we know today. the faith message had great impact on the church in Africa, especially. In the past 40 years, the church has grown exponentially. The church in Africa has experienced so much growth and affluence. However, the faith factor lacks one thing in Africa, the dominion and influence on political, economical, and ethical matters.

33  Then he taught them another parable: “Heaven’s kingdom realm can be compared to yeast that a woman takes and blends into three measures of flour and then waits until all the dough rises.”

Matthew 13: 33

The kingdom of God has been compared to yeast that has been added to dough. The little yeast has so much influence to change the dough from its original state into another. The kingdom of God is an influence of God’s culture and nature upon another. It is the kingdom of God colonizing the kingdoms of this world through His children, the believers. Jesus put it in this way, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations.’ Discipleship is an exercise of transforming people groups’ cultures by introducing a new culture through training and teaching. Unfortunately, we have a church that has thousands upon thousands of members, and not disciples. We have church people, who do not have a kingdom culture. The kingdom culture is faith.

17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 1: 17

The just are the kingdom citizens, who live by faith. Every kingdom citizen’s unique identity is faith. This is because without faith, no one can receive which the Lord has already provided by His grace. Faith comes from the word of God. It is the word, which is God’s culture that imparts faith in us. The culture of the kingdom of God is absolutely exclusive of what the Lord has already accomplished for man.
