The Born Again Nature

4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 

23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
1 Peter 1: 4, 23

The nature of the born again spirit is unquestionably incorruptible because it is born of the incorruptible seed, which is the word of God. The understanding the nature of a thing, helps to describe and define its purpose. In the beginning, God announced the nature of man before delegating man’s purpose. God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, Genesis 1: 26.

26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 

After God had defined the nature of man, then He delegated. The nature has got a lot to do with man’s condition. Any attempt to try to change man’s condition without tempting to change his nature will be all in vain. The attempt will be frustrating because it’s the nature that determines manifestation. Jesus put it in this way, ‘You shall know a tree by its fruits.’ Those are the fruits the nature is bearing.

33  Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
Matthew 12: 33

A mango tree cannot bear pawpaw fruits. It is just practically impossible for such a thing to happen. The nature of the mango tree has not been programmed to produce pawpaw fruits.

The born again nature is like God. Why? Because it is the seed of God, which is the word that man has born of. Salvation is not a renovation of the spirit of man, but a new creation in Christ.

2Co 5:17  Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new creation. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.
2 Corinthians 5: 17

This is the nature that makes a christian to be unique from the rest of God’s creation. A christian’s nature is a amalgamation of divinity and humanity. It is that amalgamation that qualifies one be called a son of God. Now that you a son of God, your nature is like your FATHER, GOD. God is not trying to become righteous. He is righteous by nature. So, since you are born of His seed, you have been made the righteousness of God. You are longer a sinner because you are of satan’s nature.

44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John 8: 44

Every son has his father’s nature. God is your FATHER, therefore your nature is of God. The day you were born into the family of God, your nature changed. All that used to be of the old nature fell off with the old nature. And all that is of the new nature is credited to your life. That’s why the blessing in Christ is not a matter of performance, but birth. Adam was blessed of God, not because he performed well and pleased God. God blessed him because Adam was His son.

The born again nature is the blessing custodian. Your nature is more than conqueror. A victor, and never a victim. Your nature is far above generational curses. You cannot be born of God and yet be struggling with generational curses. Which family are you recognizing? The family of God you been born into is more superior that your biological family. You are of God.
