Taking Over Through Knowledge

Knowledge is power, and a person of knowledge is a person of influence. True power is generated not by physical sweat, but by intellectual effort. The most influential people often work in climate-controlled environments; their labour is mental rather than physical. Intellectual work yields far greater returns than manual labour. Individuals with intellectual property are more appreciated and rewarded than those who rely solely on physical strength. Therefore, hard work should be primarily directed toward gaining knowledge, which ultimately allows people to work smarter.

The smartest individuals on earth are not defined by physical strength, but by mental capacity. While an axe can fell trees, a power saw can cut far more trees with significantly less physical effort. Designing a power saw requires vastly more knowledge than forging an axe, and it took creative innovation to produce such an ingenious tool. Consequently, it is much more effective and efficient than its manual predecessor.

Similarly, Christianity should never be used as an escape route from creative thinking and a value-creation mindset. The church ought to be an embodiment of intellect because it houses the God of all knowledge. Unfortunately, the modern church often presents itself as anti-intellectual. An overemphasis on miracles has conditioned many Christians to believe that everything they need should manifest miraculously. This mindset has led believers to expect “miracle money” during worship services. However, money is not a byproduct of worship; it is the byproduct of value added to a resource. You are compensated strictly according to the value you provide to society. Acquiring money without creating value is fraudulent, which is precisely why theft and corruption are treated as serious crimes.

God is the ultimate source of knowledge. In Scripture, He is revered as the Word—the Logos—which represents the very mind and thoughts of God. Because God has declared that His thoughts are far higher than our own, it is only wise to acknowledge Him as we pursue deeper understanding. We must not rely solely on formal education, as human schooling is inherently limited in its scope. Ultimately, the divine knowledge of God is far superior to any wisdom humanity can ever conceive

8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55: 8, 9

A life void of God’s Word is completely devoid of life itself, remaining trapped in spiritual darkness. In the beginning, God spoke light into physical existence, commanding it to break the void. That foundational light is personified in Jesus Christ, who was made manifest in human flesh and walked the earth to die for our sins. He is the ultimate, true light—the supreme body of knowledge that will never pass away. While human philosophies and secular fields of knowledge may eventually fail or disappoint you, Jesus will never let you down. Truly, He stands supreme above all.
