Kingdom Influencers

18  If it is true that Satan casts out his own demons through me, how could his kingdom remain intact? 
19  If Satan gives me the power to cast out his demons, who is it that gives your exorcists their power? Let them become your judges! Go and ask them and they will tell you. 
20  Yet if I am casting out demons by God’s mighty power, God’s kingdom realm is now released upon you—but you still reject it! 

Luke 11: 18 – 20

An influencer is a person who has the power to change or guide the choices, opinions or habits of other people. We have so many social media influencers today. Unfortunately, most of them are influencing our societies negatively. Most of them use vulgar language to sound different, and young people are emulating these influencers. The media is flooded with filthy material that is destroying the moral fibre of our society. Our workplaces are contaminated with so much profanity, while believers are watching evil permeate every inch of our environment. Sadly, believers only complain about the presence of evil and do nothing about changing the narrative. There is much more believers can do to change their environments than just complaining.

44  And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Daniel 2: 44

You and I are kingdom bona fide citizens who have been mandated to influence the kingdoms of this world. This has been God’s intention from the beginning, and it has not changed. God intended for man to reign over all the kingdoms of the world, and not vice versa. The tragedy that happened in the Garden of Eden was that man turned to what he was supposed to dominate for identity validation. Since then, man has been looking for identity in the wrong places. For some, their identity is what they wear or have. For some, their identity is in the business they run or the job they have. Brethren, that is not your identity. God is your identity. Your business or job is your garden where you are supposed to exercise your influence and superimpose the values of the kingdom of God. You were created for that reason. Find your garden and begin exercising your God-given influence.

8  Ask me to give you the nations and I will do it, and they shall become your legacy. Your domain will stretch to the ends of the earth. 

Psalm 2: 8

As a believer, your asking really matters to God. What are we asking God for? We have been so conditioned to ask for bread and butter, and it ends there. But here, the Lord encourages us to ask for nations, not just a meal. You asked for a job when the Lord was looking at giving you a company to exert the kingdom values over. Brothers and sisters, we are asking below what God is capable of doing. God is a much more God. See yourself as a business owner or a company owner who is influencing the kingdoms of this world with the gospel of Christ. However, start where you are now.

15  “Nevertheless, he was crowned king and returned to his land. Then he summoned his ten servants to see how much each one had earned and what their profits came to.
16  “The first one came forward and said, ‘Master, I took what you gave me and invested it, and it multiplied ten times.’
17  “‘Splendid! You have done well, my excellent servant. Because you have shown that you can be trusted in this small matter, I now grant you authority to rule over ten fortress cities.’

Luke 19: 15 – 17

Some want more when they have not done anything with what they have received from the Lord. What are you doing with what you have now? How many people have you influenced for Jesus so far in your workplace or business? What impact or transformation have you brought to that organisation because you are there? If you cannot be faithful at the current level, how will God entrust you with more? Your next level depends on how faithful you have been in your current position or status.
