God’s Design For Man

God’s Design For Man

By Apostle Felix

8  And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9  Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10  Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Exodus 3: 8 – 10

God’s design for man is explicitly expressed in God’s dealings with Israel. God used Israel as a replica of His intended design for man. He set Israel apart for that very reason to demonstrate His intentions. God was called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to distinguish the God of the patriarchs from the rest. The God of Israel was different from other gods, and His plans and intentions were different, too. He called out Abraham from his people and set him apart to use him to establish a new nation through which God should express His perfect will for man. Israel was elected for the purpose of facilitating the birth of the Messiah.

1  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 12: 1 – 3

If you read between the lines, God did not call Abraham to establish a small nation of Israel in the Middle East, but the call was beyond that. He called him out so that the Lord could establish a nation of all families of the earth, which is His church. In Genesis chapter twelve, God was speaking of Christ and His church. And how do we know? God had promised Abraham a son, a seed through which all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.

15  For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16  And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

Genesis 13: 15, 16

18  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Genesis 22: 18

God promised a seed to Abraham, not seeds. Apostle Paul elaborated on that in his letters and explained who the seed God had promised to Abraham was. Paul explained that the seed was not Isaac or any of Abraham’s sons, but Christ. While Abraham saw Isaac, God saw Christ. The design of God for man is always higher than man’s.

16  Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 3: 16

29  And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3: 29

The design of God for man is to be like Christ in the earth. Just like God delivered Israel from Egypt to deliver them into the promised land, so has God delivered you from satan’s yoke and delivered you into the fullness of Christ. You have been totally made free through His death and resurrection, and it’s now up to you to accept the design of God for your life. God’s design says that you have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of light. Unfortunately, the church is still fighting the Egyptians, which God said you will see no more. The Israelites crossed the Egyptian army perished in the Red Sea. The Red Sea was a place of death for both, but Israel crossed over to the other side as a symbol of resurrection. But the Egyptians could not. Child of God, your old you died in Christ when He was buried in the tomb. But the new you was resurrected when Jesus rose from the dead. You are a new creation; the old is gone, and the new has come.

17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
