From the Cross to the Throne
By Apostle Felix
2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! Hebrews 12: 2
The journey of life can be full of thorns, but yet within are roses. Many avoid the thorns and take short cuts that in the end cut short their lives. Life can be tough, and requires the grace from the Lord to keep going. This life is not for sissies, but for the graced. A throne does not come on the silver platter but comes with a story of a crown of thorns. Jesus talked about the troubles we shall have in this life but we should only be of good cheer because He overcame the world. Jesus did not avoid trouble, but went head on and overcame. He endured the shame and humiliation so that He could receive the glory and throne.
11 And the same persecutions and difficulties I have endured, you have also endured. Yes, you know all about what I had to suffer while in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. You’re aware of all the persecution I endured there; yet the Lord delivered me from every single one of them! 2 Timothy 3: 11
Apostle Paul was a man that was used mightily by God, and yet had many persecutions in his life. He had his portion of suffering. The numerous revelations Paul had received from the LORD came at a cost of persecutions. Do you want to do better academically, spend nights studying. Do you want to be rich, work hard. Do you want to be anointed, develop discipline in prayer and the study of the word of God. Whatever you get without work is a fraud. This is why some callings should be questioned. One cannot visit Nigeria or Ghana and return a seasoned prophet with multitude flocking to the individual’s meetings. That’s corruption. That’s why corruption should be discouraged at all cost. Corruption is a desire for pleasure without working for it.
My brother and sister, you may find yourself in a thorny space right now. Do not be discouraged. There are roses around the thorns. Do not allow the pain to discourage you from pursuing your purpose in life. Keep at it and shall soon be over. Thorns are not meant to last forever. They wither and die away. Though you may be in the shadow of death, the LORD is your rod and staff. As long as the Lord is with you, you will not disappointed at all.
The cross you are carrying will not overwhelm you because the LORD is in you. Do not give up because your throne is just around the corner. You have been through the fire and storms of life, God has already made a way for you through the fire and the storms. He loves you, dearly. God bless you. Your throne is here!
