Freedom Through Resurrection
By Apostle Felix
At last, we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past. Galatians 5:1 TPT
The word ‘freedom’ in Galatians 5: 1 comes from the Greek word, ‘Eleatheria,’ suggesting liberty. It stresses the completeness of the act, something that was done once and for all. The phrase was used by the Greeks when a slave was purchased by a god. The master paid the money into the temple treasury in the presence of the slave, and a document was drawn up containing the words, ‘for freedom.’ No one could enslave him again, as he was the property of a god.
Jesus, through His death, burial and resurrection, paid for our debts in full. Never to be enslaved again with any yoke of slavery. The freedom Christ has given us is not in instalments as it is projected by many. It has been paid in full. The resurrection is a victory note to inform us that freedom is ours.
As God’s loving servants, you should live in complete freedom, but never use your freedom as a cover-up for evil. 1 Peter 2:16 TPT
The freedom in Christ is complete, nothing missing, and nothing broken. Any freedom we are trying to acquire after being born again does not exist. There is no freedom beyond salvation in Christ. Any unfinished business in your life was finished when Christ on the cross cried, ‘It is finished.’ And when He rose from the dead, your freedom was permanently sealed. This is the reason why apostle Paul and the rest of the apostles in the church never organised deliverance services for believers. Believers, do not need freedom. They have it already. Believers never fight for their freedom. They are in freedom already. They simply guard their souls from corruption that may convince them otherwise.
Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage. 1 Corinthians 16:13 TPT
