Confidence In Christ

Confidence In Christ

By Apostle Felix

25  This is the very reason I’ve been made a minister by the authority of God and a servant to his body, so that in his detailed plan I would fully equip you with the Word of God.

26  There is a divine mystery—a secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now it’s being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience.

27  Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!

(28-29) Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1: 25 – 29

Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is no longer a mystery, but a revelation to those who have received Him as Lord and Saviour. He is now a reality in their lives. He was concealed in types and shadows to the saints of old, but He has been revealed to the new Testament saints as the substance. He lives in us because our bodies are temples of God. This revelation is so powerful because it informs us as believers that God, the Creator of all things and the all powerful God is domiciled in us as believers. This realization alone creates unwavering confidence to face any situation without intimidation or fear. If you know that God is with you at all times, you will not be afraid of anything. You will be too conscious of who is for you than who is against you. David, as a young man, was more conscious of God in his life than the Goliath intimidating the armies of Israel. His confidence deamenor was even annoying to his brothers. His brothers could not understand such kind of confidence exulted by the young man, David. It was uncommon confidence. David knew his God.

…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Daniel 11: 32

You can only display confidence in the God, whom you know. He is not only your God, but His is your Father too. Many people know Him as God only. That’s why you may hear people calling Him as the God of Elijah, or the God of someone they dearly respect. They do not see Him as a Father, but God that can be contacted through a human mediator, like Moses. You do not need a go between to contact God. All you need is Jesus, who ended the era of types and shadows and introduced the era of the family of God, where we can all be called sons of God. The beauty of our time is that God has become our Father, who lives in us by His Spirit. And His Spirit bears witness with our spirits that we are sons of God.

15  And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
16  For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”
Romans 8: 15, 16

The Spirit of God within us bears witness with us that we are indeed one with the Father. If then, we are one with God, there is nothing that can conquer us that cannot conquer God. If God is for us, then nothing can ever stand against us. Child of God, rest in your Father’s laps and watch Him do what He does best.

31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Romans 8: 31, 32
