CHRIST THE ARCHITECT

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body,  being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. 1 Corinthians 12: 12 – 14

Christ is building His church, and whatever He is building should be our trust. The only entity Christ is building is the church. It should be of supreme importance to Him. The church consists of people, who have believed in Christ. There is no institution on earth that God acknowledges more than the church. Christ died for the church. God loves the church so much that He had to offer His Son to die for the world, so that the church can be founded on Christ.

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Ephesians 2: 20 – 22

The church has been founded on a firm foundation of the apostolic and prophetic teachings , with Christ as the central focus. Christ was the greatest architect of the church structure and systems. He did not just die and leave the earth without leaving a system. He called the twelve, and from the twelve, He had the three that He entrusted with the leading role of the church.

Building takes a good planning of systems. It took three and half years for Jesus to build a foundational system of apostles and prophets. He trained the disciples and delegated authority to them to carry out the mission He had accomplished through His death and resurrection.

The church thrives where systems are well defined and established.  Christ expects His church to operate according to the template He left with the church. Where every part of the body is functional. Jesus involved everyone in ministry even before He was crucified. He sent out the seventy two to go and minister. He was encouraging His church he was busy building to function as one body, every part participating in the work of God.
