Christ In Scripture

Christ In Scripture

By Apostle Felix

Heb 10:7  So I said to you, ‘God—I will be the One to go and do your will, to fulfill all that is written of me in your Word!’ ”

Hebrews 10: 7

Christ came in the volume of the book to fulfill God’s will of dying on the cross for the salvation of mankind. From Genesis to Malachi, was Jesus’ script of how He was born and died for the redemption of man. The message of redemption through Christ was coded in types and shadows. It was coded in Jewish feasts, such as first fruits, animal sacrifices, in Bible characters like Joseph and in prophetic utterances and actions. All the feasts , sacrifices under old covenant and Bible characters were decoded in Christ. The message was concealed or rather veiled until Christ, who came to reveal the plan of God for man.

39  “You are busy analyzing the Scriptures, frantically poring over them in hopes of gaining eternal life. Everything you read points to me,
40  yet you still refuse to come to me so I can give you the life you’re looking for—eternal life!

John 5: 39, 40

Jesus profoundly explained to the people that just to be in possession of scriptures does not give life. Jesus was speaking to a community that  had the law first hand. They had it in its original form. But yet they missed who the scriptures were talking about, and only to embrace the letter. The scriptures produce death when CHRIST is dismissed from the scriptures. They became a letter that kills.

6  He alone makes us adequate ministers who are focused on an entirely new covenant. Our ministry is not based on the letter of the law but through the power of the Spirit. The letter of the law kills, but the Spirit pours out life.
7  Even the ministry that was characterized by chiseled letters on stone tablets came with a dazzling measure of glory, though it produced death. The Israelites couldn’t bear to gaze on the glowing face of Moses because of the radiant splendor shining from his countenance—a glory destined to fade away.

2 Corinthians 3: 6, 7

When the law, which was Christ concealed, was introduced to the people, three thousand people died at the foot of mount Sinai after the worship of the golden calf.

28  And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Exodus 32: 28

The people were given the letter that killeth. Were the Israelites idolaters? Yes, they were, they worshiped other gods in Egypt, but none died because of idolatry. Upon receiving the law, the Israelites began to die. But when the Holy Spirit was given, symbolizing mount Zion, three thousand were saved from spiritual death. Why? Because Christ that was in concealed in the scriptures was now revealed.

32  “Can’t you see it? God has resurrected Jesus, and we all have seen him!
33  “Then God exalted him to his right hand upon the throne of highest honor. And the Father gave him the authority to send the promised Holy Spirit, which is being poured out upon us today. This is what you’re seeing and hearing!

41  Those who believed the word that day numbered three thousand. They were all baptized and added to the church.

Acts 2: 32, 33, 41

Lives are transformed by seeing Christ in the scriptures. This sis reason why the apostles never taught on demonology to the church, but taught Christ. They never taught family patterns, generational curses, evil altars and such like. One wonders, where the church got these kind of messages from. When we seen Him, we are transformed into image. So therefore, more He behold, the more we become like Him.
