A Life of Impact

A Life of Impact

By Apostle Felix

33  Then he taught them another parable: “Heaven’s kingdom realm can be compared to yeast that a woman takes and blends into three measures of flour and then waits until all the dough rises.”

Matthew 13: 33 TPT

33  Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Matthew 13: 33 KJV

Jesus gave a parable of the leaven to illustrate how a believer should impact his immediate world. In the parable is a woman who is baking bread for her family. She had two items at her disposal: yeast and the dough. Jesus compared the effect of the yeast on the dough to the Kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is like yeast working in the dough, but it will need someone to add it to the dough. Yeast cannot add itself to the dough. It will need a woman to add it to the dough. No matter how effective the yeast can be, without a woman adding it to the dough, it is effectiveness cannot be appreciated that much.

Yeast is a tiny, single-celled living organism that belongs to the fungus kingdom. It is not a chemical or a powder; it is a living thing made of a single complex cell. It is a living organism that transforms sugar and starch into carbon dioxide and alcohol through fermentation. It is a transforming agent and has the power to change the state of the dough. But this powerful, single-celled living organism needs a baker to be effective. Every believer is like that woman, who is baking bread for her family using yeast to make it baking ready. A believer is an ambassador for Christ, representative of Christ in his or her immediately world.

19  In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and he has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God.
20  We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Turn back to God and be reconciled to him.”

2 Corinthians 5: 19, 20

An ambassador is the highest-ranking diplomatic official sent by a government to represent its nation in a foreign country or at an international organization. An effective ambassador is one who represents his or her country by presenting his or her country’s interests. Every embassy is called a mission, which is to fulfill the will of the government that the embassy represents. You are an ambassador of Christ, therefore, you are required to infiltrate your environment with the will of God.
