The Role of The Apostolic in Taking Over 3

1  Now, it’s because of God’s mercy that we have been entrusted with the privilege of this new covenant ministry. And we will not quit or faint with weariness.

2  We reject every shameful cover-up and refuse to resort to cunning trickery or distorting the Word of God. Instead, we open up our souls to you by presenting the truth to everyone’s conscience in the sight and presence of God.

3  Even if our gospel message is veiled, it is only veiled to those who are perishing,

4  for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the wonderful news of the glory of Jesus Christ, who is the divine image of God.

5  We don’t preach ourselves, but rather the lordship of Jesus Christ, for we are your servants for Jesus’ sake.

6  For God, who said, “Let brilliant light shine out of darkness,” is the one who has cascaded his light into us—the brilliant dawning light of the glorious knowledge of God as we gaze into the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4: 1 – 6

The apostolic does not preach fables and myths. It demystifies the obscure for clear understanding. A fable is a fictional story told to teach a moral lesson, oftentimes using imaginary objects, such as animals acting like humans. These are like fairy stories. Christianity is not a fairy story; it is a reality, depicting the risen Christ and His church. The power of the gospel lies in the facts of Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection, ascension and His exaltation. God’s power liberates people once and for all. The veiling of the gospel happens when the gospel is reduced to a fairy story. This is when preachers take the people on a trip back in time to trace the sins once committed by dead family members and the covenants made. Such trips are fables.

1  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 

2 Timothy 4: 1 – 4

Unfortunately, believers are fed on family evil patterns, generational curses, the raising of family altars, the evil bloodline patterns, the stolen star, spiritual spouse and the list goes on. It is endless. It is so sad to know that they are believers who have lived their entire Christian lives dealing with such things. Every Sunday and at every weekly meeting, all that is preached and taught is what Jesus had already dealt with. Paul said to the Galatian church, “Who has bewitched you?” I think we can say the same thing about the church in Africa, especially. Who has bewitched the church in Africa? You have been breaking the altars around your city and nation and continue breaking them year in and year out. The question is, who keeps rebuilding those evil altars in your city, your family and your nation? Something is not adding up. Those are fables.

10  For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11  Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
12  One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13  This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14  Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
15  Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16  They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 1: 10 – 16

Child of God, let us be factual. Did Jesus and the canonical apostles, such as Peter and Paul, preach about family evil altars, generational curses and evil family patterns? Where did we get all these teachings from? If Jesus and the apostles didn’t teach that, then those teachings are from a diabolical source. You know what, you may argue and try to accuse me of a lack of experience. If you feel experience is more powerful than the word, then you are wrong. Please, when you are dealing with the kingdom business, subject your experiences to the word of God. It has final authority, not our personal experiences. Do not build a doctrine on your personal encounters. They can be misleading. Let the word of God speak for itself, not our experiences.

3  And please pray for me, that God will open a door of opportunity for us to preach the revelation of the mystery of Christ, for whose sake I am imprisoned.
4  Pray that I would unfold and reveal fully this mystery, for that is my delightful assignment.
