Amazing Love
By Apostle Felix
7 Now, who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person.
8 But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!
9 And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in my sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God.Romans 5: 7 – 9
The love of God for man is unconditional. It is an amazing love. God’s love is not reactive. It is not stimulated by any outside influences. He does not love as a response to somebody’s love for Him. God is not like man who is reactive. Man, in most cases reacts to life circumstances, such as responding with love to those who loves him. Human love is very limited to those who are friends.
32 “Are you really showing true love by only loving those who love you back? Even those who don’t know God will do that.
Luke 6: 32
God loves even those who hate Him. It is amazing that His love does not wait to be loved in order to love. So many people are trying to love God so that they can deserve His love. If God had to wait on man’s love for Him to love, then that would been man’s doom. God did not do so. He did not wait. He loved man even when man did not even think of loving God. He was the first One to reach out to man and demonstrate His love through the death of His dear Son, Jesus Christ.
10 So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to himself through the death of his Son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in his resurrection life, how much more we will be rescued from sin’s dominion!
Romans 5: 10
God reconciled us to Himself through the death of His Son because of His love. God was motivated to sacrifice His son for man because of His love. For He so loved the world that He gave…
16 For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
John 3: 16
There is no greater love than one dying for the people who are actually participating in killing you. He died for each and every single person that participated. He died for Judas Iscariot, for the soldiers that arrested him, for the crowd that had rejected Him, Pilate who handed Jesus to be crucified and the entire humanity. While hanging on the cross, His body mutilated, He cried and said, ‘Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’ He forgave the very people that mutilated His body. That is amazing love. There is no sin greater and stronger than the love of God.
13 For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends.
John 15: 13
The love of God is stronger than the worst sin you have ever committed. He forgave you way before you realized that you were forgiven. And He did not forgive you because you became a better person. It is His love that makes us better people. We are changed and transformed by His love the moment we turn to Him and accept His love. His love has the power to remove condemnation, rejection, and any heart break from your life. Accept the amazing love today!
