No Weapon Formed

No Weapon Formed

By Apostle Felix

17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 54: 17

In this life, trouble shall come. It is one of those things that one cannot pray away. The regeneration does not exempt one from trouble. It comes to all men, regardless of their spiritual status. Jesus told His disciples that they will have trouble in this world but they had to be of good cheer because He had overcome the world.

33  And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”

John 16: 33

In this world, we are going to lose our loved ones, lose our jobs, lose our houses or just been accused falsely. Bad things happen to good people, unfortunately. When bad things happen to one, it does not mean the person is bad, or the brother or sister in Christ is under God’s judgement. Oftentimes, we associate trouble with God’s judgement, or some kind of a curse. Trouble affects even those who are blessed of the Lord. Trouble comes to both the believers in Christ and the unbelievers. It does not discriminate. One cannot pray and fast it away.

However, the Lord cannot allow trouble to break you as His beloved child. He has given you and me His word that has the capacity to sustain us in every given storm of life. Remember, before the storm in Luke chapter 8, Jesus had already informed them that they had to cross over to the other side of the lake. He had given them a word of assurance that they will cross over to the other side. But before they actually crossed, a life threatening storm arose and the disciples were shaken to the core. While the disciples were panicking, Jesus was taking a nap. In the midst of the trouble, He was unbothered about the storm. He believed His word than what was happening and that hour. He knew that no weapon formed could harm Him. There was no storm strong enough to drown the Saviour. There is no trouble that is strong enough to destroy your faith in Christ. No matter how it looks, the God in you is well able to see you through. Is it eviction, joblessness, divorce, lose of a child or spouse to death, or maybe physically afflicted, the Lord has assured you that He is with you and He will remain to watch over His word concerning you. He is always on your side to vindicate you.

22  Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
23  But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
